White gladiolas and carnations were on the altar of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Stanley for the marriage of Miss Ingrid Marie Lindquist and Harold Martin Hallanger on Saturday, July 21, 1962. Rev. Frank Salveson performed the two o’clock ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Teclaw sang “The Lord Bless You” and Dale Babbit sang “The Lord’s Prayer,” with Mrs. Frank Salveson as organist.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Lindquist and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hallanger.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white Peau de Soie sheath floor length gown with detachable chapel length train. Rose appliques flocked the bodice and Peau de Soie rose headpiece caught the elbow length illusion veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of white orchid and white glomelias.

Mrs. Norbert Teclaw, Beaver Dam, was matron of honor. Mrs. Keith Glasshof, Chippewa Falls, was bride matron, and Miss Babbit, Bloomer was junior bridesmaid. They wore green polished cotton street length dresses with matching cabbage rose headpieces. White shoes and gloves completed their outfit. Their cascade bouquet was made up of white glomelias.

Keith Glasshof, Chippewa Falls, was best man. Groomsmen were Douglas Groll, Holgate, Ohio, and Master Donald Lindquist, brother of the bride. Ushers were John Lindquist, Thorp and Gerald Olson, Osseo.

A reception following the ceremony was held in the church parlors.

The bride attended Thorp Public School and graduate in June from St. Olaf College, Department of Nursing, Northfield, Inn. The groom also attended Thorp Public School and graduated in May from Concordia Senior College, Fort Wayne, Ind. This fall he will be a student at the University of Chicago, School of Social Services Administration.

Pre-nuptial showers were given by Mrs. Norbert Teclaw and a personal shower by Mrs. Sharon Perman at St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn.

After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, the Hallangers will make their home in Chicago.

Out of town guests were from Holgate, Ohio’ Spring Valley, Minneapolis, Mankato, Worthington, Minn.; Beaver Dam, Eau Claire, Chippewa, Bloomer, Granton, Stanley, Menasha, Stevens Point, Green Bay and Madison.
