Lindquist, Ella (18 NOV 1891 - 8 JUL 1962)

Miss Ella Lindquist, a former resident of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at the Theda Clark Hospital at Menasha, Wis., on Sunday, July 8, 1962, after a long illness. She had reached the age of 70 years and 8 months.

Ida Eleanor Lindquist was born in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), on Nov. 18, 1891, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eph. Lindquist. She graduated from Thorp High School, attended the Stevens Point Normal school and spent a few years teaching in the school around Thorp. She later attended business college and became employed in a secretarial capacity in Oshkosh, Green Bay and Appleton for short periods, and in Milwaukee fro about twenty years, until her retirement in 1951 when she moved to Menasha to reside with her sister and brother, which was her home until death.

She is survived by four brothers, Charles of Colusa, Calif., Russell and Durward of Menasha, Wis., and Kenneth of Thorp; four sister, Esther, Mrs. Floyd Holstein of Stevens Point, Ruth, Mrs. W.R. Schoen of Green Bay, Lorraine Lindquist of Chicago and Minnie, Mrs. Chester Johnson of Thorp, nine nieces and four nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Congregation Church in Menasha at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10th, with the Rev. John Hanchett officiating, and at the Thorp Funeral Home at Thorp on Wednesday, July 11th at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Roy Scott conducting the services.

Interment took place in the East Thorp Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wilfred G. Vanderhyden, Louis Gruszynski, Wm. S. Wagner, Gust Yahn, Jim Biddle and Wm. J. Klouda.
