Smith, Lorene K. (Marriage - 10 June 1967)

Miss Lorene K. Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orval G. Smith of Humbird, and Douglas G. Noyes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund K. Noyes of Eau Claire, exchanged nuptial vows at noon last Saturday in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fairview. Officiating was the Rev. Mathew J. Molinaro.

Mrs. Mary Boullion sang the wedding songs, accompanied by Miss Dianne Kaufman.

For her wedding the bride chose a floor-length gown of sheer organza over taffeta, fashioned with an A-line skirt. Venetian lace adorned the lantern sleeves and demi-raised waistline, accenting the removable train and highlighting an empire silhouette that swept into a chapel-length train from the back waistline. A cloche of pearl-edged organza roses secured her bouffant veil of sheer illusion. She carried a prayer book, topped with a large white orchid surrounded by stephanotis and ivy.

Miss Judy Cooper of Merrillan was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Beverly Noyes of Eau Claire and Miss Faye Printz and Miss Kathy Printz, both of Humbird. They wore floor length sheaths of white chiffon, complimented by Empire bodices of pink chiffon. Elbow length sleeves were styled with lace edged flattering ruffles. Pink floral clusters held their sheer pink veils. Each carried pink and white gladioli bouquets.

Lisa Kaufman, flower girl, was attired in a dress styled as those of the attendants. She carried a basket of pink and white flowers. Kevin Pfleiger, as ringbearer, carried a white satin pillow.

Edmund C. Noyes of Eau Claire was bestman. Groomsmen were Michael O’Brien of Eau Claire, Arthur Duerkop of Alma Center and David Mayer of Humbird. Ushers were Bernard Larson and Thomas Bobb.

Mr. and Mrs. Noyes are making their home at 233 Hudson St. in Eau Claire.
