Moczarny, Mary Ann (12 MAY 1962)

Miss Mary Ann Moczarny, daughter of Joseph Moczarny, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Arthur Brodbeck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brodbeck, Owen, on Saturday, May 12, 1962 at St. Hedwig’s Chapel, Thorp. The ten o’clock ceremony was performed by the bride’s brother, Rev. Chester Moczarny, Spring Valley, Wis.

The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Leon Moczarny, wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace. The fitted basque was styled with a scalloped portrait neckline etched with sequins and seed pearls with long traditional tapered sleeves. The bouffant skirt was fashioned with a scalloped lace edge highlighted by two roses on the sides and one in the front, and back over gossamer sheer tulle. A pearl crown with pearl drops held a silk illusion fingertip veil. Her bouquet was made of a lavender orchid surrounded by white stephanotis.

Miss Barbara Brodbeck, sister of the groom, was maid of honor. Miss Barbara Moczarny and Miss Sharon Moczarny, nieces of the bride, were bridesmaid and flower girl, respectively. The bride’s attendants wore street length dresses of blue chiffon over taffeta styled with short sleeves and scoop neckline accented by a cummerbund and bow in back. There bouquets consisted of blue and white daisies in a basket.

The groom’s attendants were Frank Brodbeck Jr., brother of the groom, and Norman Mathewson, friend of the groom. Ushers were Gene Zoromski, brother-in-law of the bride, and Frank Kowalski, brother-in-law of the groom.

A dinner and reception were held at the Thorp Finance dining hall.

The bride’s mother wore a navy blue dress with navy and white accessories, and a corsage of pink sweetheart roses. The groom’s mother wore a blue brocade dress with blue and white accessories, and a corsage similar to the bride’s mother.

The bride attended Thorp High School and was a dental assistant to Dr. Dietzler. The groom attended Withee High School and is an outside representative for Thorp Finance. The couple will make their home at 416 Prairie St., Mauston, Wis.

Out of town guests were from Minneapolis, Minn., Medford, Milwaukee, Owen, Withee, Stanley, Chippewa Falls, Rochester, Minn., Wausau, Eau Claire and Big Lake, Minn., and Gilman.
