White and pink chrysanthemums and lilacs decorated the church of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Gilman, for the marriage of Miss Virgin A. Van Den Heuvel and Donald P. Dobrzynski on Saturday, May 19, rev. John Dzurko perming the ten o’clock Nuptial High Mass.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Al Van Den Heuvel, Gilman, and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Dobrzynski, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length white gown of silk organza over taffeta, featuring a Sabrina neckline, long tapered sleeves, empire waistline and princes style skirt. Her jewelry was a silver leaf pendant set necklace with pearl rhinestone. The bride’s cascade bouquet consisted of deep red roses.

Miss Joan Chaplinski, friend of the bride, was maid of honor, wearing an American beauty rose satin dress styled with Sabrina neckline, short sleeves and softly pleated bell shaped skirt. White hat, gloves and shoes completed her ensemble. Miss Annette Van Den Heuvel, sister of the bride, and Miss Kathy Dobrzynski, sister of the groom, were bridesmaids wearing dresses identical to the maid of honor and each carried a single long stemmed white rose.

Best man was Bruce Deitzler, friend of the groom, and groomsmen were Jerry Szymanski, cousin of the groom, and George Lauer Jr., brother-in-law of the bride. Ushers were Bernard Van Den Heuvel, brother of the bride, and David Dobrzynski, brother of the groom.

A dinner and supper were held at Koolmo’s Ballroom, Gilman for 250 guests. A reception was held from 2 to 6 p.m.

The bride, a graduate with the class of ’58 of Gilman High School, was employed at North American Life and Casualty of Minneapolis, and the groom a graduate with the class of ’53 of Thorp, and he also attended River Falls State College and the U. of Wisconsin, is employed at Thorp Hardware.

After their wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, the new Mr. and Mrs. Dobrzynski are making their home at rural Thorp.

Out of town guests were from Thorp, Stanley, Withee, Kaukauna, Milwaukee, Chicago, Eau Claire, Lake Mills, Hales Corners, Wis., Minneapolis, St. Paul St. Cloud, Coon Rapids and Swanville, Minn.
