Garman, Nellie B. (26 September 1875 - 22 May 1967)

Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home for Mrs. Nellie B. Garman, 91, who died Monday at her home in Neillsville. The Rev. D. Eugene Sprague of the Assembly of God Church will officiated and burial will be made in the East Lawn Cemetery in Alma Center.

Mr. Garman, the former Nellie Blencoe, was born September 26, 1875, in Alma Center. She attended schools in Jackson County. On May 27, 1902, she was married to Dr. Frank M. Garman, who died in 1956. They lived in Barron and before coming to Neillsville in 1927 they operated jewelry and hardware stores. In Neillsville Dr. Garman operated an optometrist service.

Mr. Garman is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Georgas Funeral Home for Mrs. Nellie Garman, 91, who died May 22. The Rev. D. Eugene Sprague of the Assembly of God Church officiated. Burial was made in the East Lawn Cemetery, Alma Center.

Pallbearers were: David Parry, Ben Dux, Otto Dux, and Albert Smith.

Mrs. Vivian Votava and Mrs. D. E. Sprague, accompanied by Mrs. Rudolph Novak, sang, “In the Sweet By and By” and “What a Day That Will Be.”

People from out of town here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Blencoe, Mrs. Margaret Blencoe and Everett Blencoe of Black River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Blencoe and Harry T. Smith of Hixton; Mr. and Mrs. Art Blencoe and Mrs. Carrie Kurasz of Alma Center; the Rev. and Mrs. Louis Woehrle of Marshfield; Miss Johanna Blum and John Blum of Owen; and Miss Gertrude Holmes of Granton.
