Nemec, Carol Ann (Marriage - 15 April 1967)

Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer was the scene Saturday of the wedding of Miss Carol Ann Nemec, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Nemec of Rt. 2 Spencer, and Howard Milton Rand, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Rand of Rt. 1, Chili.

The Rev. William Ruhbusch performed the double ring ceremony before an altar graced on either side with vases of yellow and mint green pompons.

Approximately 200 gusts witnessed as Mr. Nemec gave his daughter in marriage.

For her wedding the bride selected a floor length gown featuring a large Watteau swallow-tailed, chopped train that fell from the back shoulderline. Seed pearls and Alencon lace trimmed the Sabrina neckline as well as the skirt front and train. Her bouffant veil billowed from a petalled headpiece of Alencon lace, edged with seed pearls and borealis crystals. She carried a cascade bouquet of red and white roses entwined in camellia foliage.

Mrs. Janet Schultz of Marshfield was her matron of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Mrs. John Klocha of Marshfield, Miss Roselyn Krall of Rockford, Ill., and Miss Sharon Hollman of Marshfield. The attendants wore floor-length controlled bell-gowns of Ski-style, with floating Watteau double back panels. The matron of honor was seen in an apricot color dress, while the bridesmaids’ were mint green. Their small veils billowed from petalled headpieces that were trimmed with seed pearls and flower buds. The bridesmaids carried fireside baskets of yellow and white pompons and leather leaf ferns. The matron of honor carried a basket of mint green pompons and leather leaf ferns.

Will Hutchinson of Northfield, Minn., was bestman. Groomsmen were Karl Nemec of Spencer, Wayne Steuber of Marshfield and Mike Rogers of Northfield, Minn. Ushers were Richard Cain of Lamont, Ill., and John Klocha of Marshfield.

Mrs. Karen Hanson, soloist, was accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Arnold Brusewitz.

Mrs. Rand, a 1963 graduate of Spencer High School, is a registered nurse working in Marshfield. Mr. Rand, a 1959 graduate of Granton High School, is a foreman in a Marshfield manufacturing plant.

Mr. and Mrs. Rand plan to reside at 503 N. Peach Street Marshfield, on their return about April 23 from a wedding trip to the southeastern states.
