Weidman, Frederick (24 OCT 1953 - 11 JUL 2012)

Frederick A. Weidman, 76, Colonial Manor, Abbotsford, died on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, July 16, 2012 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Abbotsford, where the family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 9:30 am until service time. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield.

Frederick was born on October 24, 1953 in Marshfield, the son of Frederick and Mary (Miller) Weidman. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corpsserving during the Korean War. He married Patricia D. Welch on July 1, 1959 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Chili. She died on February 6, 2004.

Fred had worked as a mechanic, had owned and operated numerous gas stations, and was a truck driver. He and his wife also owned and operated Pat's Main Street Café and Catering in Abbotsford.

He is survived by three children, Michael Weidman of Wausau, Joseph (Bobbi) Weidman of Rib Falls, and Linda (Chris) Solchenberger of Wausau. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Michael II, Jamie, Ashley, Sierra, Alexis, Nick, Shelby, Amber and Robert.

He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, and three sisters.
