Miss Viola Fischer of Chili visited friends here Saturday.

Mrs. Walter Coil spent Friday at Chili.

Wm. Dows and Fred Grassman were at Neillsville Saturday.

Vera Lapp of chili spent Sunday with Aletha coil.

Mrs. Mike Grasser was a Neillsville visitor on Friday.

H.C. Witte was a Neillsville visitor on Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Grassman were Marshfield visitors on Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sternitzky were Neillsville visitors on Saturday.

Mrs. Fred Dopp visited old neighbors at Chili on Friday.

Herman Koser was over from Chili Wednesday.

Ernest Sternitzky was at Chili on business on Wednesday.

Mrs. Ross Paulson will entertain the Circle next Wednesday.

Chas. Lowery went to Neillsville Wednesday to visit at Ray Campbell’s.

Miss Lydia Krause spent Friday afternoon with friends at Marshfield.

Mrs. Hannah Mahn of Neillsville is visiting at Adolph Schune’s since last week Friday.

Ross Paulson sold 21 horses to the Indians and the Indian agent last week.

The Misses Clara Reich and Emma Garbush visited Neillsville friends Saturday.

Herman Schoengarth visited relatives at Neillsville last week Thursday.

Will Singer of R. 3 bought a Dodge touring car of Harry Eide of Chili last week Thursday.

Mrs. H.F. Schlinsog and daughter Violet spent Tuesday at Neillsville.

Gottlieb Hillert went to Marshfield Tuesday on a several days visit to old friends.

Paul Kobe of Chicago is here on a visit to Albert Gall’s on route 4 since Wednesday.

Mrs. Nick Nelson of Marshfield spent last week here with Mrs. Gus Hahm.

Wm. Schuelke, after a 2 week visit here with relatives and his best girl, left for Chicago on Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gault of the town of York were county seat visitors on Saturday.

Master Harland Bergeman is walking with the aid of crutches for two week past.

Miss Amy Marsh went to Neillsville Friday and made a several days visit among friends.

Mrs. Gus Garbush of York visited Mrs. Ernest Noeldner at the Marshfield Hospital one day this week.

Mrs. Ausuta Riedel, having sufficiently recovered from her late indisposition, left for Athens on Monday.

Wm. Wischuelke went to Spirit Falls Monday on a visit to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Moldenhauer.

Miss Amelia Krause spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Kaddatz at Chili.

Price Welsh was down from Spokeville Sunday on a visit to his mother and sisters.

Mrs. Henry Sternitzky went to Neillsville Friday for a couple of days visit with the Aug. Arndt family.

P.J. Kemmeter has his new cement walk in on the east side of his store and barbership building.

Mrs. Fred Hemp of Neillsville spent Tuesday here with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Jahr.

Alex Cattanach of Marshfield was in town yesterday and subscribed for the Granton News.

Mrs. Ross Paulson spent Wednesday with her sister Mrs. Jas. Tompkins of Greenwood, at Neillsville.

Mrs. Jas. Tompkins of Greenwood spent a couple of days last week with her sister Mrs. Herbert Fredette of York.

Mrs. N.E. Crandall of Neillsville, with his daughter Mrs. Will Wood, spent Saturday here with the E.W. Crandall family.

Henry Riedel came down from Riplinger Saturday and remained over until Monday, the guest of old friends here.

Mrs. Myron McHone and baby of Fairchild joined Mr. McHone here Saturday in a visit to the Lester McHone family.

Mrs. Chas. Campbell of Neillsville came over last week Thursday to visit Mrs. Webb Winn and attend the birthday surprise party on that worthy lady.

Miss Florence Spaulding, a teacher of the deaf, employed at Marshfield, was here last Saturday to see Mr. and Mrs. Carl Krause in regard to their little 5-year-old son, Master Edward, who is deaf.

Miss Ann Hiles of route 3 was a Neillsville visitor on Monday.

Miss Ora Davis spent Sunday with friends at Marshfield.

Miss Bertha Barth visited relatives at Chili on Sunday.

Mrs. Ernest Schroder entertained the R.N.A. Wednesday evening.

Mrs. G.F. Murphy and little daughter visited Chili friends yesterday.

Emil Lockman purchased a Dodge touring car of Knorr & Rausch this week.

Mrs. L.M. Anthony, after a ten day visit at E.A. Schroeder’s on R. 3, went home to Weyauwega yesterday.

Mrs. Ray Campbell and children, after a several days visit here at Chas. Lowery’s, went home last week Thursday.

Mrs. Chandler of Neillsville came over last Friday and spent the day with relatives in the Wm. Yorkston home in Lynn.

Gottlieb Pischer of Elgin, Minn. came last week Wednesday on a week’s visit to relatives and old friends here and at Neillsville.

Mrs. Phillip Breseman will entertain the Ladies Aid of Rev. Reiff’s parish next Wednesday when all are cordially invited to be present.

Mrs. Dan Hughes left for Covington, Indiana yesterday for a summer’s sojourn with her parents and other relatives.

Ernets Dixon and family have vacated the rooms over the telephone office and taken up residence in Mrs. Lillie Converse’s residence since Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Cole have plans for taking up housekeeping in the rooms over the telephone office just vacated by Ernest Dixon.

The Henry and Wm. Marg residence properties are being beautified by new cement street walks on the south side, thereof.

Roads are dry, dusty and fairly good, and Geo. Brooks is expected here any day now to drive his auto through to Morristown, S.D.

Mrs. Wella Beecher and children are here from Manville that Master Edmund may have his tonsils removed tomorrow morning.

Herman Roewert of Nebraska is spending this week between the Gus Hahm home here and friends at Lindsey.

Geo. cook and Edward Jewel of Richland Center, after a visit with relatives in the Lem Curtiss family, went home Saturday.

The Misses Iva Barager and Helen Schroeder went to Stevens Point Saturday and made an over Sunday visit among relatives and old friends.

Carl Krause has sufficiently recovered from his serious burns of weeks ago to ride to town now and have his wounds dressed here, since Sunday.

F.W. Davis is somewhat on the gain since Tuesday, although as yet very ill and confined to his bed. His son Louis arrived here from Montana Wednesday night of last week, since which time he is in almost constant attendance at the invalid’s bedside.
