Syryczuk, John A. "Big John" (27 May 1926 - 3 July 2012)

John A. "Bib John" Syryczuk, 86, Lublin, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital Palliative Care, Marshfield.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Lublin with Fr. John Long officiating. Family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.

Per John’s request there will be no public visitation and he will be cremated.

John was born on May 27, 1926, on the home farm in Lublin, the son of Andrew and Anna (Nowak) Syryczuk and was a graduate of Gilman High School. He married Regina Grabski on October 10, 1953, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Lublin.

John farmed in the Township of Ford, Taylor County his entire life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting.

He is survived by his wife, Regina, and their children: Cindy Daniels of Eden Prairie, MN, Kevin (Cindy) Syryczuk of Lublin, Susan (Raymond) Halida of Colby, and Craig (Michelle) Syryczuk of Thorp. He is also survived by grandchildren: Reed (Ashley), Evan, and Callie Daniels, Trenton “TJ”, Alexa and Joshua Syryczuk, and Jamie and Christopher Syryczuk; and great-grandchildren: Benjamin and Bryson Syryczuk. He is further survived by a brother, Irving Syryczuk of Medford; and a sister, Virginia (Mike) Ustianowski of Lublin; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Carleen, in infancy; parents; a brother, Donald (Vicki); a sister, Lorraine; and in-laws, Frank and Celia Grabski; brothers-in-law, Roman Grabski and Maylan Reyzer; and sisters-in-law, Lucille Lukas and Louise Vorpahl.

Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield is assisting the family with the arrangements.
