Staver, Alice (12 Aug 1960)

Before an alter decorated with white gladioli and chrysanthemums, Miss Alice Marie Staver became the bride of Larry Leland Cook during a 1:30 o’clock ceremony held on Saturday in the Methodist Church, with the Rev. Paul Doering officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Leo C. Staver, S. Central Ave., Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cook, route 1, Loyal.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose a floor length gown of lace over nylon net styled by long sleeves and a square neckline trimmed with rhinestones and sequins. Her bouquet was red roses and stephanotis.

Miss Noelda Foelske sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and “I Love You Truly”, and was accompanied by Mrs. Byron Zepplin.

Mrs. Roy Cook of Marshfield was matron of honor and Miss Elaine Staver of Marshfield was bridesmaid. They wore Nile green frocks of lace over nylon net in a floor length and small crowns of pearls. They carried bouquet of matching carnations.

The best man was Roy Cook and groomsman was Lee Cook. The ushers were Melvin Staver and Dennis Cook.

Following the ceremony, the couple greeted their friends and relatives at a reception and supper at the Paris Ave. Nite Club. A dance was held at Fahey’s Hall in Rozellville. The bride is a graduate of Marshfield Senior High SAchool and is employed in Milwaukee. Her husband graduated from the Loyal High School and is employed by American Motors Corporation in Milwaukee. After a wedding trip to Minnesota the couple will make their home at 1312B, S. 38th St., Milwaukee.
