Kuester, Fred, (16 AUG 1873-09 AUG 1960)

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal for Fred Kuester, 86, who died at hos home at 1:50 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9, of a stroke.

The body will in state at the Myre Funeral Home beginning Thursday morning and will be taken to the church at noon on Friday. The Rev. Virgil Ganz will officiate and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Kuester was born on August 16, 1873 in Sheboygan County where he lived until his marriage to Alvina Brandt on November 11, 1903. Previous to his marriage he had bought land west of Greenwood where he made his home until 1944, when the couple moved to the city of Loyal. In addition to farming he worked as a brick layer and plasterer. E was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and building chsirman of the Greenwood West Side Church when it was being built.

Surviving Mr. Kuester is his wife; one brother, William Kuester of Milwaukee; five sons, Arthur Kuester, Thorp, Eddie Kuester, Greenville, Ohio, George Kuester, home farm at Greenwood, Elmer Kuester, Thorp, Irwin Kuester, Chicago; four daughters, Mrs. Harold (Lillie) Kuester, Milwaukee; Mrs. Norma Ebert, Loyal; Mrs. Tony (Elvira) Briske, Beryn, Illinois, and Mrs. Phillip (Elmira) Mattes, Thorp.
