The farmers have their seeding mostly done and are working at their corn ground.

May basket hangers are so thick on the road at night it ain’t hardly safe to go out after dark.

There were quite a few from this way who attended the farewell party at Hulbert’s Tuesday night and report a fine time.

Mrs. E. Mortimer and son Ray, and George autoed to Neillsville Tuesday afternoon.

Abie Turner made a flying trip to Granton Monday morning with a veal calf.

Miss Anderson had a Mother’s Day program in school Wednesday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Eysnogle, Mr. and Mrs. Merton Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Omen Deetz, Mr. and Mrs. Abie Turner and John Davis spent Monday evening at York Center.

Leon O’Brien and Ruth Vandeberg attended the movies at Granton Saturday evening.

John Vandeberg returned from Rochester last Thursday and reports his wife and Mrs. Will Benedict doing nicely.

Mr. and Mrs. Mike Dorst of East York attended church here Sunday.

A.C. Turner and wife spent Monday at Loyal.
