Edens, Violet Irene (29 November 1900 - 19 February 1967)

Word was received in Granton Monday of the death of Mr. W. G. Edens, 66, of Poplar Grove, Ill. She died suddenly Monday at her home.

Mrs. Edens, the former Violet Irene Fulwiler, was a former Town of York resident, and attended the old Oriole Hill School.

She is survived by her husband, six children and several grandchildren.

Funeral services were held February 22 from the Faith Lutheran Church in Walworth for Mrs. W. G. Edens, 66, of Poplar Grove, Ill., who died suddenly in her home, February 19.

Mrs. Edens, the former Violet Irene Fulwiler, daughter of the late Amos and Jennie (Rowe) Fulwiler of the Town of York, was born November 29, 1900. On October 10, 1923, she was married to W. G. Edens in the Loyal Methodist parsonage.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Dorothy) Francke of Walworth; and five sons, Donald of Kingsford, Mich., Douglas of Fontana, Delbert of Elkhorn and Duane and Darrell of Harvard, Ill.

Those from this area attending the funeral included: Mr. and Mrs. Donald Richmond, Mrs. Jesse Richmond, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Vandeberg, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Maegdefessel and Mrs. Donald Kier.
