Woelffer, Victor C. O. (17 June 1876 - 30 January 1967)

Funeral services are being held this (Thursday) afternoon at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home for Victor C. O. Woelffer, 90, who died Monday in the Clark County Hospital in Owen. The Rev. W. C. Koehler of the United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mr. Woelffer was born June 17, 1876, in Jefferson City, where he attended school. On April 4, 1901, he was graduated from the Northwestern University. He came to Neillsville in 1903, operating a drug store until he sold to Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Kearns. He also operated a music store in Neillsville until 1942, when he moved to Cambridge. He later purchased a drug store at Deerfield, which he operated until 1945, when he retired, and moved to Lake Mills in 1965.

Mr. Woelffer had served as secretary of the Neillsville Kiwanis club for many years, was a member of the Lions Club of Deerfield, and had been a member of the Neillsville Masonic Lodge, No. 163, since September, 1903, and was honored with a 50-year membership in the lodge.

He was married June 15, 1904, in Neillsville to the former Nina Hommel, who died in 1945.

Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Allen (Marie) Covell of Wiesbaden, Germany, Mrs. Irma McGuire of Campus, Ill., and Mrs. Richard (Jane) Lind of Omaha, Nebr.; and by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
