Washburn (22 December 1966)

Mrs. Albert Lincoln entertained the Cannonville Ladies Aid last Thursday with eight members and two visitors in attendance. Mrs. Frank Short and Mrs. Paul Kuhn were visitors. Dinner was served at noon followed by the meeting. The entertainment was Christmas poems, readings, songs, and the exchange of gifts. Mrs. Elmer Kapfer will be hostess at the January meeting.

Quite a crowd attended the Christmas entertainment at Cannonville Church Friday night put on by the Sunday school. The children received bags of candy and nuts.

The Washburn P. T. A. was to hold a Christmas program and party at the school Wednesday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Williams and sons, Wendell and Marvin, Mr. and Mrs. Al Mashin and Mrs. Anderson of Beloit were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Mashin in Tomah.

Jimmie Kuhn, who is employed in Wisconsin Rapids, spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kuhn.

Mrs. Walter Trachte called on Mrs. Frank Short Friday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Williams and sons and Mrs. Harold Hohenstein attended the Christmas program at the Neillsville Methodist Church Sunday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Claude Kyle called at the Ralph Short home Friday evening.

Harry Carstensen and Mrs. Ella Schmidt called Monday at the Mrs. Art Odell home.

Mrs. Robert Poler and son, Clay, of West Bend, Mr. and Mrs. William Poler, and Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Vandeberg and sons of Wisconsin Rapids called Saturday evening at the Oliver Williams home.

Mrs. Elmer Kapfer was a caller at the Irving Stevens home Friday. Walter Wucki, Jr., of Oshkosh spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wucki.

Mrs. Charles Neff, Jr., and son, Joby, were callers Saturday afternoon at the Christ Feutz home.

Mrs. Robert Wucki called at the Ralph Short home Sunday morning.
