Mitte, Lana (Marriage - 10 December 1966)

Lana Lee Mitte, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mitte of Rt. 3, Neillsville exchanged nuptial vows Saturday in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Globe, with Larry Lewis Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Adams of Rt. 3 Neillsville. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. David Witte. A poinsettia plant was place at either side of the altar.

The bride was given in marriage by her brother, William Mitte, wore a floor-length gown of Chantilace and taffeta. The Basque lace bodice styled with a Sabrina neckline and long, tapered sleeves came to a “V” in the full skirt front. A large detachable Watteau panel was attached to the back shoulderline. Her bouffant veil billowed from a double crown of borealis crystals. Her bridal bouquet was made of red roses with sweetheart roses on streamers.

Matron of honor was Mrs. David McDonald. Bridesmaids were Lynette Mitte and Mrs. Kenneth Mohr. The attendants wore floor-length red velvet gowns styled with bateau necklines and long sleeves. The straight skirts were fashioned with small trains that fell from the back neckline. Small veils were attached to open crown pillbox headpieces, trimmed with white fur. They also carried white fur muffs.

Wilbert Adams of Greenwood was bestman. Groomsmen were Gary Abel of Racine and Larry Klueckmann of Marshfield. Ushers were Franklin Mitte and Duane Marg.

Robert Mitte sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Jesus Lead Thou On,” accompanied at the organ by Barbara Meihak.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Adams are graduates of Neillsville High School. Mrs. Adams has been employed at Wahl’s Drug in Neillsville and Mr. Adams is employed at the Nelson Muffler plant.
