Mrs. Wilbert Adams, Mrs. Carl Stabnow, Mrs. Adolph Abel and Mrs. Jack Abel attended a pre-nuptial shower last week Tuesday evening at Globe, in honor of Lana Mitte, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mitte of Glove, who will be married to larry Adams December 10.

Mrs. Edwin Hohl was taken to Memorial Hospital in Neillsville Saturday night.

Mrs. Veda Mertens of Withee was a guest Friday and Saturday at the Wilbur Stewart home.

Harry Channing spent the holiday weekend with his parents in Bloomer.

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Humke and daughters, Julie and Jean, returned to Green Bay Saturday after spending a few days with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Humke and Mr. and Mrs. Myron Kenyon.

Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Meyer spent a day in Kaukauna with the Lester Abel family.

Mr. and Mrs. Harland Carl and family have returned to Madison after spending several days here with his mother, Mrs. Irvin Carl, and with his brother, Robert Carl, and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Mayenschien and family, Mrs. Leona Syth and daughter, Susan, were recent guests at the Curtiss Mayenschien home in Thorp.

The Rev. T. M. Nelson of Minneapolis was a supper guest at the Otto Voie home Monday.

Dickie Lee Warner of Madison spent a few days last week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Warner.

Mr. and Mrs. John Wittwer of Cedar Rapids, Ia., spent a few days last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Braun, and with other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie recently visited in Fond du Lac with their son, Emory Voie, and family.

Recent guests at the Joe Tolaney home in Willard were their children and families: Mr. and Mrs. Patrick O’Brien and daughter, Debra, of Racine; Mr. and Mrs. John Tolaney of Shorewood; Joe Tolaney, Jr., of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Kesler and family of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Tolaney of Stevens Point’ and Mrs. and Mrs. Francis Wilhelm and daughter, Annie, of Milwaukee.

Mrs. Maud Flatz has arrived from Bear Lake and will reside in the Hinker apartment at 304 S. Main Street for the winter months.

Mrs. Carol Stabnow spent from Friday until Sunday at the Ray Oldham home in Neillsville. She attended the wedding of Mary Ann Oldham and Robert Langreck, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville.

Mrs. Louise Ellingson has returned from Denver, Colo., where she visited her brother, Everett Indgjer, and family. Enroute here she visited her three sons, Erling Ellingson and family at Elmhurst, Ill., Everett Ellingson and family and Romaine Ellingson, in Madison.
