Schoen, Henry B. (100th Birthday - 11 November 1966)

Oldest Resident Observes 100th Birthday at Party

Henry B. Schoen of rural Neillsville, oldest Clark County resident, was honored guest at a birthday party in a Marshfield supper club Monday evening in honor of his 100th birthday.

Joining in the party was a sister, Mrs. Ella Blix of Evanston, Ill., who is 85 years of age. Others included his children, grandchildren and many relatives and friends.

Mr. Schoen’s seven children and their spouses were present for the occasion. They are: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gutman, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hainz, Mr. and Mrs. William Neville, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Schoen, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Schoen and John Schoen, all of the Neillsville area; and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Koran, Sr., of Marshfield.

Other guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Louis Koran, Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. John Koran of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hainz of West Bend; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hainz, Jr., of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. William Neville, Jr., Ricky Neville, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schoen and daughter, and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hainz and Maureen Schoen of Neillsville.

Other relatives and friends attending included: Mrs. John Schoen of Owatonna, Minn.; Mrs. Lowell Schoen Bates of La Grange, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. John Remmel of Albert Lea, Minn.; Mrs. F. E. Schmanski of Milwaukee; Lawrence C. Remmel of Romeo, Minn.; Drs. Milton and Sarah Rosekrans of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Roehrick of Faribault, Minn.

Mr. Schoen, despite his advanced age, is still active. He enjoys being outside and does a lot of fishing.

He was born on November 11, 1866.
