Officiating at the marriage ceremony of Miss Patricia Joanne Pagelsdorf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pagelsdorf, route 1, Loyal, and George Arnold Stumpner, Loyal, route 1, was the Rev. Norbert King.

St. Anthony’s Catholic Church was the scene of the 10 o’clock nuptial service and high Mass Saturday morning, June 11.

Wearing a floor length gown of nylon organza over satin styled with scoop neckline and side skirt panels trimmed with Venice lace, Miss Pagelsdorf was presented for marriage by her father. A crown of rosebuds and seed pearls held the veil. Her cascade bouquet consisted of a white orchid and white stephanotis.

Miss Carolyn Pagelsdorf, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Miss Virginia Stumpner, sister of the groom, both of route one, Loyal and Mrs. Roy Cook, route 3, Marshfield, cousin of the bride were bridesmaids. The floor-length velverary sheer over taffeta frocks were full skirted and had scoop necklines and cap sleeves. Matching cummerbunds were finished in bows at the back. The maid of honor wore pink and bridesmaids wore nile green. Each carried pink and white carnations.

Donald fisher, route 1, Loyal, was best man and Gerald Hinkleman, Westby, and William Pagelsdorf. Loyal, route 1, brother of the bride, served as groomsmen. Roy Cook and Charles Stumpner ushered.

A luncheon at 12 o’clock at the bride’s home was followed by a reception there and a supper was served at the church hall for 200 guests. A dance was given at the Silver Dome, Neillsville.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Stumpner are graduates of the Loyal High School. She is employed by the Rollohome Corporation in Marshfield and he is employed by the Northern Auto Supply Company, Marshfield.

Their honeymoon voyage took them to the Black Hills and other western points. They will live in Marshfield.

The bride’s mother wore beige lace over taffeta and the groom’s mother chose navy blue lace. Each wore a corsage of red roses and white carnations.


Guests were present from Wisconsin Rapids, Marshfield, Spencer, Medford, Milwaukee, Kenosha, Madison, Nekoosa, Westby, (rest of paragraph missing).
