Clark, Mary (28 SEP 1893 - 10 OCT 1914)

Mrs. Mary Clark died Oct. 10th, 1914, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Forbes. Mrs. Clark will be remembered by her friends in Neillsville as Miss Mary Forbes. She was born at Omro, Wis., Dec. 10th, 1893. She moved with her parents to Jefferson, Texas, four years ago. At this place she was married to Mr. Richard Clark Sept. 28th, 1913. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, parents, two sisters, Hattie and Addie, and two brothers, George and Willie.

She was a member of the Methodist church and lived a Christian life. Interment was made at the Pope Cemetery Sunday at 2 o’clock. She was loved by all who knew her and her sudden death was a terrible blow to her family and friends. Although she had been in poor health for a long time, her condition was not considered serious until seven days before her death. She is gone but not forgotten.

A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in out home
Which never can be filled.
God in his wisdom has recalled
The boon that love has given,
And tho the body slumbers here,
The soul is safe in heaven.
