Mayenschein, Marlys Rae (8 APR 1961)

Miss Marlys Rae Mayenschein, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Mayenschein, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Francis Andruskiewicz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Andruskiewicz, also of Thorp.  Easter lilies were placed on the altar of St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church, Thorp for the 10 o’clock nuptial High Mass, Saturday morning, April 8, 1961.  Rev. Francis Disher conducted the wedding ceremony.

When the bride proceeded down the aisle with her father to be given in marriage, she was wearing a floor length lace gown designed with scalloped Sabrina neckline, long tapered sleeves on the fitted bodice and bouffant skirt.  A crown of braid and crystal held the fingertip veil and the bridal bouquet consisted of pink roses and white carnations.

Miss Judy Hall, Wis. Rapids, was maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were Miss Sharon McConnell, Greenwood, Miss Shirley Fohl, Marshfield, and Miss Carol Ebben, Thorp.  Their identical gowns of lavender pink, yellow, and mint green were designed with scoop necklines, short sleeves, wide cummerbunds and bouffant skirts.  Each wore a crystal headpiece with blusher veil and carried carnations tinted to match their ensembles.

Donna Andruskiewicz and Leon Peetz were miniature bride and groom.

Attending the groom were Louis Andruskiewicz, the best man, and Leland Mayenschein, Leonard Przybylski and Robert Hmielak, the groomsmen.  Ushering were Edward Przybylski and Norman Mayenschein.

The 5:30 o’clock wedding reception was held Saturday afternoon at the Polish National Alliance Hall in Thorp.  Mrs. Maud Kulwiec was hostess.

The bride, who attended Greenwood High School, has been employed at the Thorp Dairy Bar.  Her husband, who attended Thorp High School, is a farmer.  They will reside in Thorp.
