Davis, Vivian (19 September 1892 - 17 July 1966)

 

Mrs. Charles W. Davis, 74, of Reedsburg died Sunday in the Reedsburg Municipal Hospital.  Funeral services were conducted Wednesday in Elroy.

 

Vivian E. Davis, widow of the late Charles W. Davis, was born September 19, 1892, in the Town of Washburn to Dean and Mary (Wildish) Babcock. She attended Neillsville High School and was a member of the 1910 graduating class.  She taught school for three years.

 

In 1913 she was married to Charles W. Davis in Merrillan. To them were born four daughters; Mrs. W. (Dorothy) Glassbrenner of Eau Claire; Mrs. Ward (Jean) Warden of Rochester, Minn.; Mrs. Esly (Ruth) Voss of Eau Claire; and Mrs. Lloyd (Helen) Savage of Reedsburg. 

 

Survivors include her daughters; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Rolland Babcock of Coffeyville, Kans., who is currently visiting in Neillsville; and a half-sister, Mrs. Celia Poole of Neillsville.

 

Mrs. Davis was a member of Eastern Star and Royal Neighbors of America.  Eastern Star rites were conducted at the funeral Wednesday in Elroy.
