Eibergen, Gwen (? - July 1966)

Funeral services are to be held from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville this (Thursday) morning at 10 o’clock for Gwen Annette Eibergen, three year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Eibergen of Rt. 1 Granton. The Rev. Fr. Nelson was to be in charge and burial was to be made in St. Mary’s parish cemetery.

Gwen died of a fractured neck when she somehow became caught in an electrically-powered feed conveyor on a bunk feeder at the Eibergen farm, two miles northwest of Granton.

Her father told authorities that he had turned the power on the conveyor, and went about his chores.  Shortly he noticed that no feed was coming thru the conveyor, so he switched the power off and started to look for the trouble.  It was then that he found the little girl.

In addition to her parents, Gwen is survived by three brothers, her maternal grandmother and her paternal grandparents.
