The Larken Club met with Mrs. Geo. Swan Wednesday afternoon.  A large company was in attendance and a good time had.

Chas. Hubing and Erenst Slocomb left for Beach, N.D., on the morning’s early train.

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cameron of Iowa, who have been visiting the Chas. Hall, and Geo. and Bert Swan families here this week, went back to Neillsville yesterday to continue visiting at the Wm. Swan home.  Mrs. Cameron is a sister of Mrs. W. Swan.

Clemens Kuechenmeister, coming home from a neighbor’s Saturday where he had been helping with butchering, made a misstep off the path and sinking into the deep snow just as he entered his own door yard, Saturday, fell and had the knife which he was carrying in his mackinaw jacket penetrated through his clothes and cut a bad gash in his left side.  The cut, fortunately, up to this writing, is giving him no serious trouble, and it is now hoped he has safely passed the danger stage.  It was a close call though.
