Hart, Betty J. (4 MAR 1914 - 4 MAY 2012)

 

Betty J. Hart, 68, of Loyal, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2012, at her home. 

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Cuddie Funeral Home in Loyal. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.

Betty Jane Ann Hart was born on March 4, 1944, in Medford, the daughter of Elmer and Lorain (Olson) Dassow. She grew up on the family farm in the town of Greenwood, rural Medford, and received her education in Medford area schools. Betty married Beryl Hart on May 12, 1962, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Medford. They moved to Marshfield in 1963, where she worked as a cook and at Figi's, but mostly, was a homemaker, mother and wife. They moved to Loyal in 1981.

She is survived by her husband, Beryl, of Loyal; five children: David of Menomonie, Rosemarie (Paul) Salzwedel of Marshfield, Dennis of Marshfield, Rita (Larry Jr.) Schreiner of Stratford, and Donald (Lori) of Granton; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; her mother, Lorain Dassow of Medford; one sister, Ruth Dassow of Dorchester; and one brother, Norman C. (Judy) Dassow of Medford.

She was preceded in death by her father; one son, Daniel, in infancy; and one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Hart.
