Reyzer, Maylan Frank (4 April 1923 - 3 April 2012)

 

Maylan F. Reyzer, age 88, of Lublin passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Thorp Funeral Home in Thorp with Rev. Don Meuret officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

 

Maylan Frank Reyzer was born on April 4, 1923, in rural Lublin, WI, to Sebastian and Victoria (Bigos) Rejzer and was educated at area schools.  He was united in marriage to Sally Grabski at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin on October 15, 1949.  Maylan worked as a truck driver for Foremost Foods for the majority of his lifetime until his retirement in 1982.  He continued to live on the farm, where he was born, until his death.

 

Maylan had many interests, but especially enjoyed playing baseball in his younger days, shooting pool, gardening, and watching the Chicago Cubs.

 

He is survived by his wife, Sally Reyzer, of Lublin; three children: Conrad Reyzer of West St. Paul, MN, Diane Jacobs of Lugoff, SC, and Lance (Sharon) Reyzer of Roberts, WI; two grandsons: David (Fiancée Brook Radke) Reyzer and Adam (Aubrey) Reyzer; one great-granddaughter, Carmen Reyzer; and one sister, Florence Stachowiak of Orland Park, IL; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Maylan was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers: John Rejzer, Frank Reyzer, Walter Reyzer, Joe Reyzer, and Edward Reyzer (in infancy).
