Korzynski, Genevieve (15 OCT 1960)

The altar of St. Mary’s Czestochowa Catholic Church, Stanley, was decorated with gladiolas, mums and white and lavender carnations for the marriage of Miss Genevieve Korzynski and Joseph Czarnecki.  Rev. Edward Maselewicz performed the ten o’clock double ring ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 15, 1960.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Korzynski, R. 1, Stanley, and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Czarnecki, R. 3, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

The bride given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown with a chapel train of hand clipped imported lace and gossamer sheer tulle over separate underskirts of tulle, net and taffeta.  The sweetheart neckline was jeweled with iridescent sequins and pearls.  Long trasditional tapered sleeves of lace accented the fitted bodice with an empire waistline.  The bouffant skirt had embroidered appliques of lace and two lace panels running lengthwise in front.  The back was of lace alternate tiers of lace and tulle.  Her pure silk illusion veil was held in place by a queen crown of pearls and sequins.  She carried a white prayer book with gold trim and flowers of white roses, carnations and lilies of the valley.

Miss Jeanette Rechul was her cousin’s maid of honor.  Bridesmaid was Barbara Rechul, cousin of the bride.  They wore ballerina length dresses of lavender taffeta with a bolero jacket, hat and shoes of the same color.  They carried round bouquets of lavender and white carnations.

Chester Czarnecki was his brother’s best man, and Raymond Jaskot, groomsman.  Ushers were Richard Czarnecki, brother of the broom, and Henry Pelesniak.

A reception for 200 guests was held at the P.N.A. Hall from 4:30 to 6:00 with a dance in the evening.

The couple will make their home on the groom’s farm.

The bride’s mother wore a dress of grey tweed wool and the groom’s mother wore a green flowered dress and each had a corsage of red roses and white carnations.

Guests attending the wedding were from: Scranton and Olyphant, Pa., Colonia and Jersey City, N.J., Cleveland, Ohio, Chicago and Morton Grove, Ill., Boyd, Chippewa Falls, Greenwood, Thorp, Wilson, Stanley, Cadott, Racine, Cudahy, Sturdevant, Mosinee, Wis., and Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.
