Morrison, Sarah #2 (19 AUG 1880 - 1 OCT 1960)

 

Sarah Brockley Morrison, 80, passed away Saturday, Oct. 1, 1960 at the home of her daughter in Eau Claire.  She had been in failing health the past year. 

 

Mrs. Morrison was born Aug. 19, 1880 at Cleveland, Ohio.  On Oct. 23, 1898 she married Eden Morrison at Valley, Wis.  They lived at Valley until 1912 when they moved to Clark County, Town of Butler.  Mrs. Morrison was the last charter member of the Butler Ladies Aid, which she helped organize in Jan. 1913.

 

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 4 at two p.m. at Immanuel Church of Christ, Greenwood, Wis.  Rev. Orval Egbert officiated and burial was in Butler Cemetery.  Pallbearers were all grandson, Larry and George Morrison, Albert and Edmond Morrison, Emil Reineke and Laurn Books.

 

Surviving are three sons, Bert of Geneva, Ill., Roy of Wenatchee, Wash., Arthur of Thorp, one daughter Evelyn, Mrs. Alvin Reineke of Eau Claire, two brothers, James of Baraboo, John of Baldwin, three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Caucutt of Osseo, Mrs. Anna Daines of Thorp, Mrs. Jennie Daines of Capistrano, Calif., nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 29, 1954, one sister and two brothers.
