LELAND CHUBB (7 Jun 1916 - 17 Nov 1994)


Leland Francis Chubb, 78, Greenwood, Clark County, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 1994, at his home. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 1994, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Greenwood. Rev. Larry Olson officiated. Burial was in the Lynn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Walt Backus, Merrill Hare, Art Holstad, Don Noeldner, Elmer Kuester, Lloyd Peterson, Ron Tieman and Jerry Chubb.


Leland Francis Chubb was born on June 7, 1916, in the Town of Lynn, to Clarence Jr. and Ann (Goeden) Chubb. He graduated from Granton High School. After school, he worked in Milwaukee for Yellow Cab as a mechanic. He then farmed in the Lynn area for a couple of years before moving to Greenwood and purchasing Pine Service Station in 1946 with his uncle and aunt, Arthur and Julia Chubb. He worked as a mechanic and retired from the station on Jan. 1, 1981. He continued to live in Greenwood until the time of his death.


Survivors include one adopted sister, Kathleen, Chubb, Marshfield and one cousin, Earl Chubb, Granton.


He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Claude.
