VIOLA BECKER  (1908 - 1995)


Viola Anne Becker, 86, Loyal, Clark County, died Wednesday, March 22, 1995, at the Marshfield Nursing Rehabilitation Center.


Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 1995, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church Loyal. Father Roman Kaiser officiated. Burial was in St. Anthony's Cemetery.


Pallbearers were Tom Loos, Mike Loos, Chuck Loos, Arnold Becker, Jerome Becker and Raymond Rondorf.


Viola Anne Loos was born on Sept. 10, 1908, in Greenwood, to Conrad and Elizabeth (nee Schnell) Loos.


As a young girl, she grew up on the family farm in Greenwood and moved with her parent to Loyal and farmed. She received her education at St. Anthony's Catholic School in Loyal. She worked at Picus Grocery Store in Loyal. She married Arthur Becker on Oct. 30, 1934, at St. Anthony's Church, Loyal. They farmed near Loyal until retiring in April 1972. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1973. She resided in Loyal until entering the nursing home in Aug. 1994. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and its PCCW. She was active in church, homemakers club and enjoyed playing cards, needlework and gardening.


Survivors include four sons, Conrad (Marge) Becker, Neillsville Don (Barbara) Becker, Marshfield Al (Carol) Becker, Loyal and Harold Becker, Greenfield three daughters, Yvonne (James) Gies, Stevens Point Diann (Don) Pergande, Brookfield and Sister Mary Becker, Loyal 15 grandchildren four great-grandchildren one sister, Dorothy Boulander, Chetek and two brothers, Jerome Loos and Reuben Loos, both of Chicago.


She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and seven brothers.


Rinka Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
