Shoemaker, Paul J. (1923? – 26 Dec 1975)

Paul J. Shoemaker, 52, of 211 Fountain Street, Eau Claire, died Friday, December 26, 1975 in Luther Hospital.

He was born in Clark County and married June Elaine Royce December 9, 1946 at Footville. They lived in Beloit and Eau Claire, where he was a truck driver.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, David, Altoona, Craig, in the Marine Corps near Tokyo, Japan; his mother, Mrs. Hazel Shoemaker, Augusta; seven brothers, William, Madison, Leo, Crystal Lake, Illinois, Donald and Wayne, both of Eau Claire, Dareld, Osseo, Ervin, Taylor Falls, Minnesota, Albert Augusta; five sisters, Mrs. Edward Harycki, Thorp, Mrs. Harold Fluekiger, Holmen, Mrs. William Mayes, San Jose, California, Mrs. Gordon Timm, Augusta, Mrs. Larry Scott, Kenosha; and two grandchildren.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 30 in Stokes and Sons Chapel, Eau Claire, with the Rev. Melton W. Bulgerin officiating. Burial was in Butler Cemetery, Clark County. Military graveside rites were by VFW Post 305.
