Curtiss, Mary A. (24 Apr 1815 - 11 Dec 1900)


Mrs. Mary A. Curtiss died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 1900, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. Dewhurst, in this city. The cause of her death being a cold contracted a short time previous, together with old age. The deceased was born in Woodbury, Conn., April 24, 1815. She removed with her family to Ohio in 1821, where they settled near Elyria. In 1841, she came to Wisconsin, and in 1860, came to Clark County with Mr. Dewhurst's family, where she has ever since resided. She leaves three children, Mrs. Dewhurst, Mrs. D. Dickinson and Wheeler Curtiss. She was a lady of quiet, home-staying qualities, and was highly respected by all.

The funeral will be held at the hose Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
