Hughes, Margaret Mahar (1812 - 1 Sep
1897)
Mrs. James Hughes died at her home in
Pleasant Ridge, Clark County, Wednesday morning, Sept. 1st, 1897,
at the advanced age of 85 years.
Margaret Mahar Hughes was born at Tipperary, Ireland, and at the
age of 16 came to America and located in Canada, where she was
married to James Hughes. In 1883 they moved to Clark County, where
Mr. Hughes died in 1884.
She leaves six sons and one daughter to mourn the loss of a loving
and indulgent mother.
The funeral will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in this city
Friday morning at 9 o'clock, Rev. Father A. J. Joerres officiating.
The interment will take place at the catholic Cemetery.
