Gosline, Elizabeth (1829 - 1914)

Elizabeth Gosline Dies Aged 85 Years.

Mrs. Elizabeth Gosline, whose life of usefulness came to a close at 4:30am Thursday was a pioneer resident in this section and a woman admired and respected by all who knew her. She was born in Vermont 85 years ago and at the age of 19 was married to the husband who departed this life 21 years ago. After her marriage the family moved to Dodge county and later to Clark county where they engaged in farming. Disposing of the farm the widow came to this city about twenty years ago where she has since resided. She was the mother of 13 children all of whom are dead but five. They are Theodore who lived with his mother, John Gosline and Mrs. M. D. Bradford, Raymond, WA Geo. Gosline of Desplaines, IL and Edward Gosline of Milwaukee.

The funeral will be held today at 9:00am from St John's Catholic Church. Deceased throughout life enjoyed robust health. Last July occurred her first serious illness since which time by degrees her constitution gradually gave way. In the community where she lived she was admired for her loving and charitable disposition, especially so among children. She will be sadly missed by the many.
