Loos, John C. (1914 - 1982)


John C. Loos, 67, of Route 1, Loyal, Town of Beaver, Clark County, died of an apparent heart attack at about 2 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 27, 1982, at his home.

Services were conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 2, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Officiating was Rev. James Logan.

Burial was in the parish cemetery with Mark Braun, Tim Braun, Tom Loos, Jerry Loos, Harold Becker and Vern White serving as pallbearers. Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of arrangements.

A Parish Council of catholic Women Rosary was conducted at 3:15 p.m., and a prayer service at 8 p.m., March 1.

John Loos was born to Conrad and Elizabeth (nee Schonell) Loos at Greenwood on May 18, 1914. He attended school a few years at Greenwood and graduated from Loyal High School.

He was married on Nov. 20, 1943, at Greenwood to Marie Braun. After their marriage, they farmed in the Colby and Marshfield areas. In 1959, they moved to the Town of Beaver, where they farmed.

He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marie five sons, James of Berthoud, Col., William of Woodruff, Charles of Loyal, Daniel of Sheboygan and Kenneth of Spencer two daughters, Mrs. Rosemary Kidwell of Marshfield and Ms. Sandra Loos of Spencer four brothers, Alex of Loyal, Gilbert of Loyal, Jerome of St. Charles, Ill. and Rueben of Chicago, Ill. two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Boulander of Chetek and Mrs. Viola Becker of Loyal and ten grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were her parents one son, Steve and three brothers.
