Vine, Irving G. (1903 - 1980)


Irving G. Vine, 77, Route 2, Granton, Clark County, died late Sunday, Dec. 28, 1980, at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.


Services were held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 31, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville with the Rev. William Noble, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Town of Grant Cemetery.


Mr. Vine was born on April 12, 1903, in the Town of Grant to George and Della (nee Waterman) Vine. He received his education at Kurth school in the Town of Grant and farmed in that township. He had served on the Clark County Board of Supervisors for many years and was a member of the United Methodist Church.


He married Frieda Hiller on Sept. 3, 1941, at Neillsville.


Surviving him are his wife one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Fern) Rowe of Granton five sons, Robert, Dale, Harold, Kenneth and Ronald, all of Granton one sister, Mrs. Alvin (Ruth) Kissinger of Chili one brother, Theodore Vine of Neillsville 12 grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.


He was predeceased by two brothers, Everett and Claud, and by two grandchildren.


Jim Krasselt, Dale Krasselt, Roer Krasselt, Earl Vine, David Vine and Richard Vine served as pallbearers. Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, was in charge of arrangements.
