Harder, Terry (1954 - 1- 980)


Terry Harder, 25, Route 1, Loyal, Clark County, died in a truck accident on County Trunk B near Marshfield at 4:30 p.m., Friday, July 4, 1980.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, July 7 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Rev. James Logan officiated and interment was in St. Anthony's Cemetery.


Terry Harder was born to Victor and Valeria (nee Pruss) Harder in Washington D.C. on July 12, 1954, and received his education at Greenwood Grade School and graduated form Spencer High School in 1972.


After graduation he worked for Black River Campers and was in the National Guard.


He was married to Judy Pernsteiner on Aug. 4, 1973 at Loyal.


He joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 1975, and was discharge in 1979. He owned and operated K-Korners Tavern, rural Loyal.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and the Tavern League of Clark County.


Surviving him are his wife, Judy one daughter, Kelly, at home two sons, Anthony and Joshua, at home his father, Victor of Chippewa Falls one brother, Richard Babcock, four sisters, Ms. Sally Aitkin of Minneapolis, Ms. Bonnie Davel of St. Paul, Minn., Miss Cindy Harder of Santa Rosa, Cal. And Miss Becker Harder of City Point, Wis.


Full military rites were conducted by the Loyal American Legion Post. Serving as pallbearers were Ronald Pruss, John Pernsteiner, Jeff Pernsteiner, Jay Pernsteiner, Dale Alexander and Roderick Gardner.


Preceding him in death was his mother.


Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of arrangements.
