Roewe, Ardis Lucille (1932 - 1991)


Ardis Lucille Roewe, 58, Colby, died Saturday, March 2, 1991, at the Marshfield Clinic Colby Center, Colby. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 1991, at First United Presbyterian Church, Abbotsford. Rev. Robert Everhard officiated and burial was in the Colby Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Nels Anderson, Jim York, Jack Harrop, Milton Lenz, Charles Loucks and Orville Lieders.


Ardis Bublitz was born Aug. 23, 1932, in London Station, to Fred and Marie (nee Zumstine) Bublitz. She received her education at Mauston Area Schools. She was a seamstress in Mauston Garment Factory for a few years before her married. She married Vilas Roewe in Mauston, Nov. 2, 1970. He survives. The farmed in the town of Colby until the time of her death. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, Sandhill Homemakers Club, and also taught Vacation Bible School for many years.


Survivors include her husband one son, Keith Roewe, Colby and three sisters, Mann Jarzinski, Wis. Dells Mrs. Melvin (Beatrice) Fristad, Milwaukee and Mrs. Gordon (Arlene) Fischer, Mauston.


She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister.


Rux Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
