Poziombke, Alex (1914 - 1990)


Alex Poziombke, 75, rural Neillsville, died March 14, 1990, at 11:00 a.m. at Neillsville Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 17, 1990, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Neillsville. Fr. Joseph Henseler officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Sons and grandsons served as pallbearers.


Alex Poziombke was born March 28, 1914, in the town of Grant to August and Frances (Kaminski) Poziombke. He received his education from Neillsville schools. He farmed with his parents in the town of Grant for a time after his education. He married Cecilia Nenahlo on Jan. 24, 1942, in Manitowoc. For a number of years he was an instructor at the Adult Development Center in Greenwood and also farmed. He retired from both jobs in 1977. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.


Surviving him are his wife, four sons, Jerome, Anchorage, Alaska Thomas, Anchorage, Alaska Michael, Neillsville Patrick, Norfolk, Va one daughter, Mrs. Michael (Cheryl) Dumas, San Francisco, Calif. four sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Gregory, Neillsville Mrs. Joseph Treloar, Milwaukee Mrs. Lillian Kettle, Milwaukee Mrs. Hedy Bell, Neillsville and seven grandchildren.


Preceding him in death were his parents, four sisters and three brothers.


Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., Neillsville, handled the arrangements.
