Gault, Franklin (1927 - 1990)


Franklin Gault, 62, Neillsville, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 1990, at 4:35 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hospice Care Unit, Marshfield. Friends may call at the Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville from 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, and Wednesday at the church for an hour before the services. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 14, 1990, at 11:00 a.m., at Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Rev. James Gordon will officiate. Burial will be in Neillsville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Wilsmann Sr., Robert Wilsmann Jr., Donald Marg, Jeff Marg, Terry Becker and Arthur Meier.


Franklin Gault was born June 6, 1927, in the Town of York, to Jason and Alvina (Schoengarth) Gault. He received his education at the Oriole Hill School, Town of York, and the Neillsville High School. After High school he worked as a rural milk hauler for his parents for several years. He married June Lindow of Nasonville, on May 21, 1949. He purchased a cattle truck and hauled cattle for a couple of years. He had owned and operated two local taverns for several years and operated the Neillsville Country Club for two years. He operated a beer distributorship in the Neillsville area from 1961 to 1969 and later drove truck for Grassland Dairy, Neillsville Co-op Transport and Neson Division of Nelson Industries. He retired in July 1989 due to ill health. He was a member of the Neillsville Men s Club and the Neillsville Saddle Tramps.


Survivors include his wife, one son, Randy Gault, Humbird one daughter, Mrs. Max (Judy) Kapfer, Stoughton two brothers, Robert Gault, Neillsville Gene Gault, DuBary, Fla. And two grandchildren.


Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Bill.


Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., handled the arrangements.
