Jelercic, Joseph (1873 - 1955)


GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY--Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Hill Funeral Home for Joseph Jelercic, 82, who died of a heart attack Thursday morning, June 23, 1955 at his home in Willard.


The services will be in charge of the Slovanian National Benefit Society. Following the rites, the body will be taken to Sunset Memorial Park, St. Paul, for cremation.


Born March 14, 1873, in Yugoslavia, Mr. Jelercic came to the United States in Nov. 1903, and settled in Lorain, Ohio. On Nov. 20, 1905, he was married there to Frances Kovac. The couple came to Willard May 15, 1915 and settled on a farm 6 miles west of here, where they resided since.


Survivors include his wife a son, John Jelercic, at home two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Emma) Herrick, Stillwater, Minn., and Mrs. Marvin (Anna) Huiras, St. Paul a brother, Vincent Jelercic, Willard, and six grandchildren.


Friends may call at the Hill Funeral Home, where the body will repose this evening.
