Braun, Blanche L. (1887 - 1968)


GREENWOOD--Mrs. Blanche L. Braun, 71, Greenwood, Clark County, died Monday afternoon, Oct. 21, 1968) at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, where she had been a patient since Oct. 9.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Zion United Church of Christ in Greenwood. The Rev. David Logue will officiate and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Friends may call at the Hill Funeral Home from Wednesday afternoon until 11 a.m. Thursday and then at the church.


The former Blanche Smith was born March 8, 1887 at Greenwood, where she was married on Aug. 22, 1922 to George Braun, who preceded her in death in May 1961. The couple farmed in the area until their retirement in 1960. After the death of her husband, Mrs. Braun moved to the city of Greenwood.


She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ the Women's Guild, of which she was presently the treasurer, and the Neighborhood Group.


She is survived by three daughters, Miss Catherine Braun, Eau Claire Mrs. Harry (Verna) Gabor and Mrs. Bernald (Jean) Bradley, both of Milwaukee four grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Catherine Henricks, Milwaukee.
