The former Addie Ketchpaw was born Sept. 1, 1878, at Elkhorn and received her education in Elkhorn schools. The family moved to Greenwood in 1897. She was employed here as the first cashier in the Big Store, now the Farmers Store. Several years later she went to Chicago, Ill., where she was employed by a wholesale credit company.

She was married to John Memhard of Chicago, Jan. 26, 1911. Soon after their marriage they went to Twin Falls, Idaho, where they purchased a store. A few years later they returned to Chicago and engaged in business there. After some time they sold their business and returned to Idaho and were in the dry goods business at Bancroft, Idaho, until Mr. Memhard's death in March 1939. In 1939 she came to Greenwood to make her home with her parents and sister, Mrs. Beatrice Clayton.
