Melius, Agnes (1898 - 1951)


GREENWOOD--Mrs. Oscar Melius, 52, a resident of Greenwood, Clark County for many years, died at 3 p.m. Monday, May 21, 1951 at the home of relatives in Adell. She had been in poor health for three years and had been hospitalized several times during that period in Marshfield and Madison.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Adell, and burial will be made in the Adell Cemetery.


Mrs. Melius, nee Agnes Olson, was born Sept. 26, 1898, near Marshfield. She received her education in the schools at her birthplace. After marrying Oscar Melius she lived in Greenwood. Her husband, a retired farmer, survives her.


Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Beatrice) Zeihl, and Mrs. Robert (Valerie) Kuntz, both of Milwaukee, and Cpl. Phillip Melius, stationed in Texas. Four grandchildren are also survivors.


Mrs. Melius was a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service and Grace Methodist Church in Greenwood.
