Hubble, Josephine (1880 - 1967)


GREENWOOD--Mrs. Josephine Amelia Hubble, 87, Neillsville, Clark County, died of complications at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 1967, at the Neillsville Memorial Hospital, where she had been admitted Friday.


Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greenwood, with the Rev. Arvid Myhrwold officiating. Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
The body will repose at the Hill Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Tuesday and then at the church.


The former Josephine Johnson was born Feb. 16, 1880, in the Town of Warner, Clark County, and was married here June 28, 1916, to Walter Hubble, who preceded her in death in 1937.


After their marriage, the couple farmed south of Greenwood until 1919, when they moved to the city of Greenwood. Since November 1963, Mrs. Hubble had resided at the Memorial Home in Neillsville.


She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greenwood, and the American Lutheran Church Women.


Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Sigward (Olga) Johnson, Loyal a brother, Leonard Johnson, Greenwood and an aunt, Ingabor Hogue, Walnut Creek, Calif.


Four sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
