FLOYD L. UPDYKE


Greenwood--Floyd L. Updyke, 61, of Greenwood, Clark County, died at his home Wednesday afternoon, June 5, 1974 of an apparent heart attack.


Services have been set for 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hill Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Leander A. Koopman, pastor, will officiate, with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.


Visitations may be made beginning Friday afternoon at the Hill Funeral Home, where a general rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday.


Mr. Updyke was born Jan. 6, 1913 in Barnum, Grant County, and was married Nov. 23, 1929 in Mayville to the former Laura Schiller, who survives him. After their marriage they lived in Barton and he was employed by the A.O. Smith Company in Milwaukee.


In 1945, they moved to North Lake, where he operated an electric shop for two years. He then moved in 1947 to Greenwood, where he operated a farm until moving to the City of Greenwood in 1961. He was then employed by Weyerhaeuser Molded (the rest of my copy was cut off)
