JOSEPH B. LESAR


Greenwood--Joseph Barney Lesar, 63, West Bend, a former resident of Willard, Clark County, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 191 at St. Joseph's Community Hospital in West Bend following an illness of several months.


Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The Rev. Michael Mertens, pastor, will conduct the services.


Visitations at the funeral home may be made after 1:30 p.m. today. The general rosary service is set for 8 o'clock tonight.


Mr. Lesar was born at Ely, Minn., Oct. 14, 1907, and was married at Abbotsford to Mary Govek on Dec. 21, 1933.


He came to Willard in 1910 with his parents and farmed, also was a substitute rural mail carrier for 42 years. In 1968 the Lesars went to West Bend to reside.

 


Survivors include his wife one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Mary Jo) Denk, Cedarburg two sons, Mark, Boulder, Colo., and Nick of Palmyra six grandchildren two brothers, Louis of Ely, Minn., and John of Willard, and four sisters, Misses Mary, Frances, Anna and Agnes Lesar of Willard.


His parents, two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
