MRS. WILLIAM BARTELT


Greenwood--Mrs. William Bartelt, 59, who had been in poor health for a long time due to asthma and a heart ailment, died Friday evening, Dec. 31, 1943 at 8 o'clock at her home in Greenwood, Clark County. She had been a patient for several weeks in November at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.


Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Schiller Funeral Home and at 2 o'clock at Grace Methodist Church. The Rev. Alex J. Abbott will have charge of the rites, and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Mrs. Bartelt, the former Jennie Meilius, was born Jan. 25, 1884, in the Town of Scott, Sheboygan County, and was married to William Bartelt Oct. 16, 1902, at Batavia, Sheboygan County.


The Bartelts moved to Greenwood in 1913 to a farm, 2 miles west of Greenwood, and lived there until the death of their son,
