INFANT DAUGHTER PASSES AWAY


Judith Ann Parkel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parkel Jr., was born Feb. 26, 1941 and passed away at the General Hospital at Madison at 11:00 a.m. on Oct. 26, 1941, having reached the age of 8 months.


Judith has been ill since birth, having an upside down stomach and was taken to the General Hospital at Madison on Oct. 23, where they expected to operate, but on Wednesday, Oct. 23 she developed pneumonia and passed away on Sunday, Oct. 26th.


She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parkel Jr., a four year old sister, Mary Ann, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parkel Sr. of Willard, Clark County and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dernosker of Sheldon, Wis., and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.


An Angel Mass was read on Tuesday Oct. 28 at 10:00 a.m. by Rev. Rapheal Straghishar at the Holy Family Catholic Church at Willard and burial was made in the Catholic Cemetery there.


The pallbearers were Betty, Julia and Angeline Arch and Bernadine Podobnik and the flowers were carried by the three Gosar girls and the three Volovsek girls.


Those from away who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dernoske and family of Sheldon, Wis., the misses Ann and Mildred Parkel of Milwaukee and Mayme Parkel of La Crosse.
